Bogor Safari Park : A Place where the Animals play freely

If you want to see wild animals like tiger, lion, and crocodile like in the wild, Bogor Safari Park is the best choice. Besides as a modern zoo and the conservation centre of Flora and Faun, Bogor Safari Park also as a border zone for National park of Mount Gede Pangrango which is located in a height of 900 until 1800 metre above sea levels. In Bogor Safari Park you not only can enjoy the scenery of natural beauty and see the animals but you also can interact directly when those animals roam in their habitat. In Indonesia, there are three Safari Park which is located in 3 provinces such as Safari Park 1 in Cisarua, Bogor, West Java, Safari Park 2 in Mount Arjuna, Prigen, East Java, and the last Safari Park 3 (Bali Safari and Marine Park) in Serongga, Gianyar, Bali. Among the three, the most famous Safari Park is Safari Park 1 in Cisarua, Bogor, West Java. Built in 1980 where before called as Radio Safari Garden and Indonesian Television Safari Park. Bogor Safari Park is built in 1980 in an unproductive tea plantation area.

Visiting Bogor Safari Park not only fun but also an educational experience  about Flora and Fauna for your children. Bogor Safari Park has animals collection all over the world. There are more than 2.500 animals with a hundreds species and until now the preservation is still continued. Local animals that inhabit Safari Park is komodo, rhinoceros, bison, honey bear, white tiger, elephant, anoa, and many more.

When you enter Bogor Safari Park, you can see many shade trees and feel the cold air envelop your skin from Mount Gede Pangrango. This experience will be the interesting experience to start your adventure with many wild animals in their habitat. By using the car, you will enter house from the various habitat of wild and tame animals. Although you are not allowed to out of your car and open the car windowbut you can see animals attraction from your car. Traveling with your kids at this location won't be unforgettable. Don't forget to capture the picture of those animals.

Baby Zoo

After seeing the various animals which is playing free, you and your kids to enjoy animals attraction start from orangutan, dogs, even goats. You also can enjoy the unique and interesting attraction about a half hours. You might also visit bird park, animal training show, reptile, riding the elephant and horse, or you can do safari night travel. If your kids want to see cowboy attraction, you can bring them into Wild-Wild West.

Another interesting place that must be visited is Baby Zoo, where you can hug animal baby and take a photo with the baby. After visiting those places, you can eat in one of food stand over there. Before you go home, don't forget to buy some souvenirs

What kind of Activity you can do ?

Wild-Wild West

You can visit Safari park in different time, in day or night. Both offering you a different experience and you must try it. In the free zone, there's place you can buy some carrots to feed some elephants. 

Every 3 hours, those friendly elephants will come in funny attraction. If you want to see how big Safari park actually, you have to use hanging car. 

In Wild-Wild West which is held everyday at 2 o'clock, you can witness cowboy attraction. The visitor is provided many seats in grand stand which is forming a half circle. So, every visitor can see the show clearly from their seats. Sounds of horse, sound of shooting gun, sound of dynamite explosion is part of the show which is given by those cowboys and the sounds is seemed so close because of the effect from its sound system

In the free zone of animal, there are some small shop which sell some foods. There are two restaurants which is serving some places where you can picnic with your family.  Safari park also has restaurant facilities and canteen as follows :

How to go ?

It's not difficult to reach Safari park. From Jakarta, you can use car or buy tour packets which is offered by travel agent. The location is not far, about 80 mile from Jakarta and can be reached in 1 until 2 hours if there isn't traffic jam. 

If you leave from Bandung by using public transport like bus, you can stop in Cibeureum, Cisarua. Next, continue your travel by using city transport about 15 minutes to Safari park. 

There are many clues along your travel to the Safari park start from toll gateway that will help you to reach  this location. Cisarua is located before you reach in the Puncak Pass of Mount Pangrango. From the toll-way to the Puncak, you can find the clue of entrance of Safari park located in the right side. 

Tips

The admission price is Rp 75.000,00 for adult and Rp 15.000,00 for car ticket. This prices is applied everyday, without comparing between work day or weekend. You can get route map which contains location and places that you can visit for recreation. It also contains the show's schedule of animal attraction, the route you can through also the list of animals you will meet. It should be saved to make you easy to find something that you can visit. 

Bogor Safari Park Open at 09.00 AM -until 05.00 PM

For Safari park at night opened start from 07.00 PM until 09.00 PM

For regular entry (during the day), you can ride your car. If you interested in night safari, it would be better if you use the shuttle. There's a guide in each shuttle who'll be able to explain to you about the wildlife out there. After exploring Safari's environment then you will arrive in free zone where you can park your car and continue your travel by walk. In free zone, you will be offered various themed rides and scheduled entertainments (the menacing tigers, the acrobatic seagulls, and the hunting eagles, to name three).

Accomodation

Management of Safari park offers you a service to stay overnight. The inn over there like bungalow from the wood with some rooms or you can stay in caravan which furnish you simple bed also comfortable toilet. One bed is enough for 4 peoples. The accomodation is very comfortable if you want to enjoy the adventure in daylight until night, feeling different sensation which is offered.
